Screens in Menifee

What do screens need in a city with homes from different eras?

Menifee is one city with several home ages. Sun City began in the early 1960s as a Del Webb retirement community. Menifee Lakes grew in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a master-planned community. Quail Valley and parts of Romoland fill out the rest of the city’s roughly 50 square miles.

That mix matters for screens. A home that is decades old may still have its original screens, with frames that have bent or no longer fit the opening. Hot, dry summers are hard on mesh in any neighborhood. Chris runs Serene Mobile Screen out of Lake Elsinore and brings the workshop to your home. He measures on the spot, re-screens a good frame or builds a new one, and puts it up right away. There is nothing to carry to a shop.

Two ways to fix it

Older screens vs newer homes

The right fix depends on the frame. Chris explains the screen type and the cost before he starts.

Original frames

Re-screen the frame you have

Older homes often still wear the screens they were built with. If the frame is straight and the corners are tight, Chris takes off the tired mesh and fits new mesh in the same frame, right at your door.

  • Keeps the frame that already fits your opening
  • New mesh, cut and fitted on site
  • Works for windows and sliding patio doors

New frames

Build a new frame to fit

When a frame is bent, worn out or a non-standard size, Chris builds a new one in his mobile workshop. He measures your opening, builds the frame on the van’s fold-out table and puts it up right away.

  • Measured at your window or door
  • Built to fit openings that are not standard sizes
  • Fitted and cleaned up before he leaves

Not sure which one you have? Send us a text and describe the screen. Chris will talk it through with you.

Menifee questions

Questions from Menifee homeowners

Short answers about screens, older homes and how a visit works.

Do you come to Sun City and Menifee Lakes?

Menifee is one of the towns Chris serves from Lake Elsinore. If you live in Sun City, Menifee Lakes, Quail Valley or Romoland, send us a text with your street area and what needs fixing. Chris will confirm he can come to your address and talk through a time that works.

My home still has its original screens. Can they be saved?

Sometimes. If the frame is still straight and the corners are tight, Chris can put new mesh in the frame you already have. If it is bent or worn out, he builds a new frame instead. He looks at the screen first and explains the screen type and the cost before he starts.

Do I have to take my screens to a shop?

No. The van is a mobile workshop with a fold-out work table on the back, so Chris measures, builds and fits screens at your home. Customers say he is careful coming in and out of the house and cleans up afterward. You stay home and he does the work at your door.

What if my screen door is an odd size?

Chris builds new frames, so an odd size is not a problem for him. One customer review describes a non-standard size screen door that he recreated after pet damage. He also repairs sliding patio door screens, French door screens and retractable screen doors. Send us a text describing your door and he will explain the options.

How do I get a quote for my Menifee home?

Send us a text, chat on the phone, then receive a quote. Chris is upfront about the screen type and the cost, which customers mention in their reviews. Tell us your community in Menifee and what you need. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday is closed.
